• Free Community Seminar – Health After Hurt – Tuesday 30th April, 2019

    Health After Hurt, kidnapped teacher and author Rob Hunter, retells the story of the Wooreen State School kidnapping of 1977 and the after affects. The presentation gives first hand insight into the trauma experienced by the victims, of heroism and bravery, along with the health and healing that is possible from such pain and torment.

  • Corangamite Shire Youth Awards – Friday 23rd November, 2018

    Congratulations to Harrison Smith who was nominated for and awarded the Workplace Endeavour Award at the Corangamite Youth Awards held on Friday 23rd November, 2018 at the Camperdown Theatre Royale.  Harrison’s mother Caroline Smith accepted the award on his behalf as he was participating in the RACV Energy Breakthrough event in Maryborough. Harrison has been involved in the Energy Breakthrough event since its inception at Terang College seven years ago.  The program involves students from Years 5-12 working together to design and build a vehicle that represents an “energy breakthrough” which they then race in a 24-hour endurance event.   • Cooinda – Casual Junior Staff

    Cooinda are looking to employ highly motivated casual junior staff to support participants to engage in their local community and learn new skills.  Shifts would be available after school hours, weekends and school holidays.  Students would  undertake an induction program and only work in programs where they are a second staff person or with higher functioning clients with low risk support and health care needs.  Activities may include supporting participants to play sport, attend an event, meal preparation  or taking a participant for a walk.  If you are interested in applying you should submit your resume to tjackson@cooindaterang.org.au or call Caroline Smith for further details Ph 5592 1533.  

  • Terang Tornadoes – Mount Gambier Competition

    For the first time Terang headed over to the Mount Gambier tournament, and what a weekend it was . A great new experience for all of our children that did our little town proud. Under 12 boys, Under 14 Boys & Girls & Under 16 Boys & Girls all stepped up to Division 1 & should be extremely proud of their efforts. Ned Roberts & his team mates made the Div 1 grand final only going down by a small score, great effort .   • Music Concert – Sunday 25/11/2018

    The Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra’s annual Children’s Concert is on this Sunday. As it sold out last year, there will be two concerts, one at 2pm and 4pm. The concerts go for an hour and feature well known music and a magican! You can book tickets online.  Terang College violinist, Emily Fuge has been rehearsing with WSO, along with Mrs Pugh, and playing pieces such as Harry Potter Theme and Monster Mash. A great chance to see an orchestra in action!
