• Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 Football Clinics – Thursday 22nd August, 2019

    Football Clinics On Thursday all year 3, 4, 5 & 6 students participated in Football Clinics organized and run by Alan Thompson and Peter Allen from the AFL Western District Football Development and Auskick. Students participated in a range of activities and were given a brief rundown of the rules of AFL, many students walking away with newly acquired skills and knowledge of Football. The highlight of the day was the modified game- AFL 9’s at the end of the session. A big thank you to Alan and Peter for organizing and running the clinics for our students.

  • Hooptime – 5/6 Rookies – Friday 9th August, 2019

    On Friday 9th August we had 3 teams of  Year 5 & 6 Rookies compete in Hooptime  at the Terang Stadium. Well done to all the students who played some great basketball during the day and showed great sportsmanship all day. Thank you to Mr Castersen, Michael, Declan and Azra for their coaching on the day.

    Over the last few weeks, Cathy and Mr Clifford have been busy training the 3/4’s for Hoop Time. They have spent many snack and lunchtimes out on the basketball court practising and improving their skills! These are some photos of the Allstar Girls.

  • P-12 Book Week Parade Celebrations – Wednesday 21st August, 2019

    Only one week to go! I hope your ideas are flowing. Our Book Week celebration is Wednesday August 21st.  P-4 students will be bused to the secondary campus at 9:15am to be seated for the parade to begin at 9:30am in the 5-12 Assembly Hall. Parents and caregivers are also invited to attend the parade. This year the book week theme is “Reading is my Secret Power”. Costumes can be put together from things around the home and a little imagination.  If we put some thought put into it now, it will save some stress as the day gets closer. I am looking forward to seeing the costumes that everyone comes up with.…

  • Cyber Safety Talk – Wednesday 14th August, 2019

    Today the Year 5 & 6 students participated in a Cyber Safety talk with John Keats and Trudy Moreland from the Warrnambool Police. The students learnt about jobs within the police force, how to keep themselves safe online and their digital footprint.

  • Year 7 & 8 Warrnambool Eisteddfod Debating – 31st July, 2019

    Last week a team of 7/8 students competed at the Warrnambool Debating Eisteddfod. This is an annual event that pits students from around the district against each other, debating a range of topics. The 7/8 team of speakers and researchers Emily Fuge, Charlotte Braendler, Dan Thomas, Abbey Dixon, Poppy Wakelin and Gemma Blain won their debate, arguing the negative side participation in sporting activities, including contact sports, should be mandatory in every school. Emily was the first speaker, strongly outlining the unnecessary risk of serious injury that would be present if students were forced to play contact sports.
