• Out of Uniform Day – 13th March, 2020

    The JSC & SRC will be holding an Out of Uniform Day on Friday 13th March. Monies raised will be donated to the Cancer Council in memory of our former teacher/staff member Mr Stuart Wilson. 5-12 students – theme is hawaiian clothes and crocs P-4 students – theme is rainbow colours Please provide a gold coin donation for this worthy cause.

    House Swimming Sports 2020 A huge congratulations to all students and teachers that took part in our Annual House Swimming Sports last Friday. It was wonderful to see student participation was up from previous years, creating a very close competition for Champion House. Congratulations to Keilambete who narrowly pipped Dalvui to be awarded the Champion House for 2020.   • HSSSD Swimming Carnival – Tuesday 25th February, 2020

    HSSSD SWIMMING Congratulations to the 40 students who represented Terang College at the year 7-12 District Swimming Carnival in Timboon on Tuesday 25th February. Terang was well represented throughout the day, with many ribbons, PB’s, and a number of records broken. One highlight was the 16 year girls Freestyle Relay- Kara Gee, Jess Beasley, Ingrid Cavarsan and Annalise Abbott, breaking MRC’s longstanding 2001 record by 4 seconds. Well done to Darcy Abbott, Tori Parsons and Ingrid Cavarsan, for some outstanding individual performances, earning them their respective Age Champion.   • P-12 Athletics Carnival – 3rd March, 2020

    On Tuesday 3rd March 2020, Terang College will be running their annual Athletics Carnival. The carnival will be held at the Terang Rec Reserve from 9:30am to approximately 2:45. P4 students will be bussed to and from the P4 campus and 5-12 students will walk to the event. The Terang College VCAL students are running a B.B.Q on the day, notes have been sent out to P4 students to pre-order and pay by Friday 28th February. Children must be dressed appropriately; Shorts, runners, T-shirts (preferably house colours). Students will be provided with sunscreen throughout the day.   • HSSSD Cricket – 17/02/2020

    Terang College recently participated in a senior cricket competition held at the Timboon Recreation Centre. Our boys won a very close game against Cobden thereby qualifying for the final against Mercy. Terang College bowled extremely well against Mercy in the final keeping them to under one hundred. Unfortunately our batting line up could not get on top of the Mercy bowling attack. Well done to all boys for their tremendous effort on the day, in particular for their sportsmanship.   • 2020 Youth Lions of the Year – 19/02/2020

    A huge congratulations to six of our Year 10 students who recently participated in the 2020 Youth Lions of the Year quest. The six students were: Ingrid Cavarsan, Denva Martin, Chloe Anderson, Nicholas Castersen, Oliver Delaney and Ryan Fleming. The process involved completing a comprehensive application, an interview of approximately 30 minutes duration and an evening event where all candidates were asked to respond to two impromptu questions and present a 5 minute speech on a topic of their choice.   • Speech Pathology in Schools

    We are very lucky to be able to continue our partnership with South West Healthcare as part of the “Speech Pathology in Schools” Program. We are beginning our second year of three years and will be working with Stephanie Simmonds, a speech pathologist, and Danili Dwyer, an occupational therapist. They will be working with staff and students in our Foundation-Year 2 classrooms approximately once a fortnight. We are very excited about this.
