Terang College encourages participation in sport for all students, regardless of skill level. Through school and interschool competitions, students build teamwork, resilience, fitness, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
At Terang College all students are encouraged to participate in school sports regardless of their ability or skill level.
On enrolment students are assigned to one of the school houses
Students have the opportunity to compete in school house swimming (Years 5-12), athletics and cross country (Years P-12) with progression for qualifying students to district, division, region and state competition.
College P-6 students participate in an annual Swimming Program held at the Terang Swimming Pool.
Our aim is to educate students on how to safely assess unfamiliar water areas such as; pools, oceans, lakes and rivers. Students will be given theoretical and practical lessons on how to deal with a variety of situations when in or around the water. Students are also given stroke development lessons.
The program is run by qualified Austswim instructors.
