• South West Middle-Years Clay Target Competition – 29th October, 2018

    The sun was shining and the breeze was fresh off the ocean at this year’s competition at Warrnambool Gun Club’s Lake Gillear shooting complex, making for a terrific day of sport. We introduced our newest team member Kade McDowell to competitions and he had a great first event shooting a total of 8 out of 24 targets (plus his practice shot). The other three competitors also had a great day of competition. Toby Pride shot 15 out of 24, ( he claimed exhaustion after a big weekend of competition shooting all weekend!!).   • Year 9/10 Super 8’s Cricket – 25th October, 2018

    Last Thursday 25th October a group of year 9 and 10 students went to the Terang Cricket grounds to play Super 8s Cricket against Mortlake College, Cobden Technical School, Brauer College, and Warrnambool College. The students arrived to the sun shining and two beautifully prepared grounds.   • Year 5 & 6 Cricket Blast Carnival – 26th October, 2018

    Congratulations to the 40 year 5 & 6 students who participated in the Cricket Blast School Cup (Super 8’s) in Terang last Friday. We had 3 boys teams and 2 girls teams involved in a round robin competition against 8 other schools in the district. The students had a fantastic day with all teams experiencing the winning feeling throughout the day. A lot of the Terang students had never played competition cricket before, but there was some impressive talent to be seen. A Hat-trick from Edward Delaney was play of the day.   • Warrnambool Agricultural Society Interschool Equestrian Event, 25th October, 2018

    Last Thursday 3 students, Emily Buckland, Su-Ri Kim and Sophie-Kate Shaw represented Terang College at the Warrnambool Agricultural Society Show Interschool Equestrian Event. Su-Ri competed in the Primary Dressage Section on her pony, ‘Erindale Vogue’. Suri placed 5th and 6th in her tests and finished 5th overall. Emily competed on her Galloway, ‘Keayang B & G’ in the Secondary Preliminary test finishing 9th and 7th in her tests. Sophie-Kate competed in the Senior Preliminary tests.  Sophie competed on 2 Galloways during the day.   • Terang Tornadoes – Millicent Basketball Competition

    Last weekend saw the Terang Junior Tornadoes head over to a tournament in Millicent, SA. Our little country town was very successful and walked away with some great results in the DIV 2 pools . Most importantly the kids played some great basketball & had lots of fun . Under 12 girls –  Emma Hill, Ella Clifford and Tayla Bell played well, learnt a lot and celebrated the winning feeling in a pool game.   • Victorian Country Series Go Karting – Portland

    Well done to Nerinda Beard, Max and Laura Fahey on there results at the final round of the Victorian country series held at Portland over the weekend.  Nerinda raced in KA4 Junior Light and qualified 7th out of 14. Nerinda had a good race in heat 1 managing to move up one position to 6th and she was able to do the same again in heat 2 and finish 5th. Heat 3 was not Nerinda’s race finishing back in the field finishing 12th. Nerinda started her final out of 7 and that is where she finished. After 6 rounds of the Victorian country series Nerinda finished 7th out of 30 competitors. …

  • SSV State Track & Field Championships – Monday 22nd October, 2018

    Well done to James Hookway, Spencer Bourke, Jorja Sharp and Shirene Morgan on representing Terang College at the SSV State Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. Results for the day: James – 7th Javelin Spencer – 8th Shot Put Jorja – 7th Shot Put Shirene – 4th 100m, 6th 200m and 3rd Long Jump. The students should be extremely proud of qualifying to compete at this elite level.   The Terang College community are very proud of your achievements. A huge thank you also to Cindy Sharp for her assistance coaching the students prior to and during the events.

  • Congratulations Daniel

    Congratulations to Daniel Hookway who became the Victorian Country Series (VCS) Champion for his class KA4 Junior Heavy on the weekend. Dan raced in the 6 rounds of the VCS which is a Go Karting series that runs throughout the year from February to October. Every 6 – 8 weeks there was a round at a track at Cobden, Ballarat, Horsham, Warrnambool, Hamilton & Portland. All racers gain points for their finishing position in each heat and the final at each of the 6 rounds. Then final points are tallied from the best 5 rounds for each racer.   • My Golf – Saturday 27th October, 2018

    MyGolf will be commencing at Terang Golf Club on Saturday 27th October from 9 – 10 am. No experience is required and golf clubs will be available if you don’t have your own.
