Year 12 VCE/VCAL Student & Parent Information Evening
Will be held Monday, 24th February running from 6.30pm-730pm.
The session will take place in the Trade Training Centre.
It will cover:
Please bring along any questions you have. You can also contact Lisa McLennan (11&12 Coordinator) or Matt Irving (9-12 Sub-school Manager) if you have any queries.
Year 12 parents are invited to attend a free seminar with Elevate. Elevate is a study skills program. Year 12 students will attend their own Elevate seminar during the Year 12 Study and Industry Camp next week. The parent session is tailored to parents to help them to understand how they can help their children have success in Year 12.
The seminar will be held at Camperdown College on Thursday 13th February. It will be in the Drama room at the Wilson St Campus (Entry via Errey St). The session commences at 7.00pm and runs for approximately 1 hour.
Tuesday 23rd July we will be hosting a VCE information session for parents and students in years 10 and 11 in the Science Centre. The aim of the evening will be to inform parents and students new to VCE about the course itself, as well as classes offered at Terang College. This will support and extend upon the information supplied to the year 10 students at the VCE expo throughout the day and help students to make informed decisions about classes for 2020. We will also have ‘subject tables’ set up with information about each subject for extra, more specific information.
The session will run from 7pm-8pm with time for questions and browsing of subject tables afterwards. We encourage all year 10 and 11 parents and students to attend, especially if you are new to VCE in 2020.
Please contact Liam Geary for more information.

Year 12 student Harrison Smith with the Rubens Tube he made for his Physics project. When sound is played into the end of the tube the gas inside is compressed in some regions more than others, producing higher flames demonstrating the wave nature of sound.
VCE exams are well and truly underway, good luck for the remainder of the exam period.
