5-12 Swim Carnival – 15/02/2023
February 20, 2023
On Wednesday 15th February our year 5 to 12 students enjoyed making a splash at the annual house swimming carnival. It was a hot day in and out of the pool, with students participating in competitive events including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, as well as our novelty events, ball scramble, under and over, tug of war, and the all-time favourite, the boogie board relay. The competition was fierce, and records were broken. Darcy Abbott broke the 17-year-old boys’ 33 m backstroke record, and year 6 student, Harpa McMaster, broke the 11-year-old girls’ 33m butterfly record. Awesome swimming guys!
Congratulations go to Dalvui, who took out the Champion House Shield for the second year in a row. Can they make it a three-peat in 2024?
Finally, thank you to all who participated, the many parents and friends who cheered on from the sidelines, and the staff involvement, you all contributed to making it a successful carnival.
