Book Week Parade & Doing Things Together Day – Wednesday 21st August, 2019

Reading Is My Secret Power – Book Week Parade & Doing Things Together Day!

Thank you to everyone who participated in some way to make the first P-12 Book Week Parade an amazing success.
The Terang College students looked sensational parading in their costumes down the red carpet this year.  It was wonderful to celebrate literacy and it’s Secret Power as a whole school.

This year’s “Best Dressed Class” competition was extremely hard to judge with some very close results.  Congratulations to Room 1 – Mrs Molan, Year 7 – Mr Ryan & Year 12 – Mr Geary for taking out this year’s best dressed class trophies.

Special thanks to those students and teachers that performed their ‘secret power’ talents on stage, it was fantastic to see your varied talents in action.
Children were treated to many exciting activities during the ‘doing things together’ part of the day. It was brilliant to see children working so well together on some really fun & challenging activities. The group leaders did an amazing job coordinating their groups and setting a fine example of behaviour.

Thanks to our two hosts Tegan Malady and Mahni Beasley who were our amazing MC’s for the day. Thanks also to Mr Ellington and Harry Stuart for their assistance with sound and lights.
Special thanks to the SRC, Ms Rock,  Mrs Holliday, Mr Irving, Mrs Fitzgerald, Tom Cavarsan, Charlie Duffus, Mr Geary & Mr Dennis for helping to setup the hall, cooking the bbq & for planning the doing things together activities and groups and Mr O’Connor for taking photos throughout the day.
