Last Friday we had 3 students, Charlie Simpson, Braxton Sachs and Courtney Stonehouse, travel to Warrnambool to compete at the Combined Primary Division Aths at Brauerander Park. This division is 3 districts combined – Warrnambool, Portland, and Hamilton with approximately 50 schools participating.
First up was Braxton, competing in the 12-year-old boys discus. Braxton finished 3rd overall, with his best throw 18.62m qualifying him to compete at the GWR Primary Athletics in October. Fantastic effort Braxton!
Charlie and Courtney, both took the track to compete in the 200m Dash. Charlie finished 6th in his heat and Courtney crossed the line 4th in her heat. Super running Courtney and Charlie. Students competed remarkably well and should all be proud of their efforts and great sportsmanship they displayed on the day.
