Congratulations to the Primary School Swim Team
What an amazing day of swimming at the SSV Combined Division Swimming event in Warrnambool on Friday, from our year 5 and 6 students.
Charlie Simpson in freestyle, Ruby Ferrier in breaststroke and Paddy Thornton in freestyle, each touched the wall first in their heats and set new personal bests.
Braxton Sachs made his debut in the 50 m freestyle race and Aenid Wood, Hunter McDougall and Summer Sharp all brought their experience from last year to their races.
The relays were the final events for the day and our swimmers rose to the occasion. Our boys/mixed team Ruby, Brax, Hunter, and Paddy swam the medley relay first, then 1 event later dove straight back in the pool for the 4 x 50m freestyle relay, fantastic effort from everyone!
A special mention to Summer Sharp who walked away with 3 first-place ribbons and was crowned the Girls Multi-Class Age Champion. Summer will now represent TC at the GWR Swimming Championships in Horsham on 26th March.
