On Wednesday September 18th Sophie-Kate Shaw was recognised as one of six finalists in the VCAA VCE Leadership Awards at Parliament house, Melbourne. The award is for VCE students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities over the years, in particular their VCE years. Nominations can come from any Victorian school with just 6 being honoured at Parliament house. Sophie-Kate and the other finalists had the opportunity to answer some questions on stage, reflecting on their experiences before a winner was chosen. The process was an amazing experience and was a brilliant effort from Sophie-Kate and one to be very proud of. Thanks very much to Marg Nuske who nominated her after recognising her qualities especially in her role with the SRC in 2018. It is wonderful acknowledgement of the excellent future leaders that go through our school. Congratulations Sophie, a thoroughly deserving leader.
