Victorian Country Series Go Karting – Portland

Well done to Nerinda Beard, Max and Laura Fahey on there results at the final round of the Victorian country series held at Portland over the weekend. 

Nerinda raced in KA4 Junior Light and qualified 7th out of 14. Nerinda had a good race in heat 1 managing to move up one position to 6th and she was able to do the same again in heat 2 and finish 5th. Heat 3 was not Nerinda’s race finishing back in the field finishing 12th. Nerinda started her final out of 7 and that is where she finished. After 6 rounds of the Victorian country series Nerinda finished 7th out of 30 competitors. 

Max raced in KA4 Junior Heavy and qualified 9th out of 20 competitors. Heat 1 Max moved his way to 6th and in heat 2 max didn’t have a good start and finished back in the field at 11th. Heat 3 Max managed to get his way back up to 6th and this meant he was starting his final out of 6. Max managed to get a good start and was in 4th position until 2 laps to go before he made a pass for 3rd and that is were he finished. This is Max’s best result in country series and is looking at being up the front again next year. Max finished 9th in the Victorian country series out of 29 other competitors. 

Laura raced in cadet 12. Laura races more for the fun and social size rather then the competition side to the sport. Laura qualified 22nd and had her best result in heat 2 where she finished 16th. Laura started her final in position 20 and finished 19th.
