The School for Student Leadership (SSL) offers a unique, immersive, state-wide residential program for Year 9 government school students, designed to foster personal growth, active citizenship, and leadership development. The program focuses on building self-awareness, strengthening social and community engagement, and promoting environmental responsibility.
Terang College has proudly supported the SSL for many years. As our school continues to grow, we remain committed to offering this valuable opportunity to our students. Many of our past participants have attended programs across various SSL campuses and consistently speak highly of their experiences upon returning to school.
The application process begins when students are in Year 8. At Terang College, we take pride in encouraging students who are eager to further develop their leadership potential. As part of their learning at SSL, students are to plan and implement a Community Learning Project (CLP). This project allows students to put into practice some of the skills developed during their time away and share this with the school community.
