An update from Central Australia Camp 15/10/2024

An update from Central Australia Camp:
Whilst in Alice Springs we visited the Flying Doctor Service and camel farm where we enjoyed having a ride on these animals. When we returned to base camp, we played a variety of water-based games to escape the heat. It had been over 35 degrees the past few days! The day concluded with a reptile interaction where students got to hold snakes and lizards!
The following day we packed up and headed to Kings Canyon. After viewing the glorious sunset, we sat down to another delicious 3-course meal.
On Monday, we were up at 5.30 am to do the Rim Walk before it was too hot. Everyone completed the walk and soaked up the spectacular scenery. After packing up our tents, we drove to Yulara and set up camp. Students were able to go shopping for a short while before heading out to the viewing area for Uluru. Truly amazing views!
