GWR Primary and Secondary Track & Field Championships-Llanberis Track, Ballarat

Last Thursday the 10th October and Friday the 11th October, TC had four secondary, and two primary students compete at the annual Greater Western Region Track and Field Championships.
Thursday saw our four secondary students take to the track and field with an incredibly competitive spirit. All four students finished in the top 3, Lizzie Flavell finished 3rd in the 15 year girls discus, Daniel Stonehouse ran a strong 800m race, crossing the line with a PB  3rd place,  Riley Fleming went out fast in his 1500m run and finished with a 6 second PB and 3rd overall, and the last of our secondary students was Jackenzie Sharp who finished the day with four 1st in the following Multi Class events, shot put, long jump, and the 100m and 200m dash.

On Friday we had our primary students Braxton Sachs and Summer Sharp compete.

Braxton came up against some impressive power in the 11-year boys discus, Brax finished 8th overall, throwing 15.49m.
Like her sister, Summer also finished with four 1st in Multi Class events, 100m and 200m dash, long jump and shot put.
Jackenzie and Summer will now travel to Melbourne to compete at the SSV State Track & Field in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to our small, but exceptional team, you should all be immensely proud of your achievements at an incredibly competitive regional level!
Finally, a huge thank you to the parents and grandparents for your support in driving your child to Ballarat.
