South West Middle-Years Clay Target Competition – 29th October, 2018

The sun was shining and the breeze was fresh off the ocean at this year’s competition at Warrnambool Gun Club’s Lake Gillear shooting complex, making for a terrific day of sport.

We introduced our newest team member Kade McDowell to competitions and he had a great first event shooting a total of 8 out of 24 targets (plus his practice shot). The other three competitors also had a great day of competition. Toby Pride shot 15 out of 24, ( he claimed exhaustion after a big weekend of competition shooting all weekend!!). Max Fahey shot 19 out of 24 and was in a shoot-off for third in the experienced boys, but missed out by a target. Lastly Matt Molan won the High Gun (overall top score) for the day with a total of 23/24 and won on a shoot-off for overall winner.

Thanks must go to the parents who always come and support our team members and their continued support throughout the year.

If there are any students interested in competing in the clay target shooting, would they please see Ms Orwin.
