Greater Western Region Swimming Finals-22/03/24
It was a very early start for our 3 students who represented TC at the GWR Swimming Finals in Horsham last Friday, racing started at 9.15 am. Our swimmers were, Regional swimming debutant Summer Sharp-MC 50m Backstroke and Freestyle, Jackenzie Sharp-MC 50m Freestyle and Backstroke, and Parker McDougall-Girls 50m Freestyle, Backstroke and Butterfly.
There were some great swims from our students on the day. Parker finished in 5th place in Butterfly and 6th in Freestyle and Backstroke. The Sharp sisters, Jackenzie and Summer, both walked away with Gold in their 50m Multi-Class Backstroke and Freestyle events, Jackenzie and Summer will compete at State Swimming Championships in April, Term 2.
Congratulations to all the students who competed, you should be very proud of your performances, swimming against some students who train in the pool at least 4 days a week, and finally, thank you to the parents for your support and for driving the children to this event.
