HSSSD Girls Netball and Boys Football – Junior

Year 7-9 footy was held at the Terang Rec Reserve on Thursday 5th June. We played 3 games against Mercy, Timboon and Camperdown. The boys fought hard all day in trying conditions. Our first game against Mercy was a tough match up, coming up against a very well drilled outfit. We regrouped and stuck to our structures in the last couple of games, which saw our team become competitive – finally winning the last game by 3 points against Camperdown

College. Better players on the day were Cedrick Madeja, Tyler Kavanagh and Jailen Teuma.

A huge shout out to Caleb Bamford for umpiring the games in

great spirit. A special thanks to Mr Murray and Narrelle C for coaching on the day!

The Year 7/8 girls’ netball teams had a fantastic day out in Terang playing netball. Both the Year 7 and Year 8 teams worked hard, demonstrated excellent teamwork, and represented their school with pride and sportsmanship. Unfortunately, neither team was able to come away with a win, but they fought hard and should be proud of their efforts. All players

learnt more about the game of netball. Thank you to Cobden Tech for mixing with our Terang College team.

Special thanks to Mrs Couch, Lisa C and Mel B for coaching and umpiring on the day!
