Industry Visit Day
September 1, 2025
Earlier this term, our VCE VM students spent the day exploring local industries and gaining real-world insights into career opportunities right here in the south west.
The day kicked off at Saputo, where students toured the site and discovered the scale of the dairy industry and its impact on our region.
Next stop was South West Healthcare, with Lyndon giving us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at our amazing local hospital.
Students then split into groups to explore a variety of industries:
• Tasweld Engineering
• Pure Academy Hair & Beauty at SW TAFE
• Building & Construction
• Florence & Collins Childcare
It was an incredible opportunity for our students to see firsthand the diversity of pathways available in our community.
A huge thank you to Matt and Dean from the Neil Porter Legacy for supporting the day, and to each business for generously giving their time and expertise to inspire our students.
