Merryl was a much loved Terang College teacher and friend to all staff, students, parents and community.

Merryl was a brilliant maths teacher and was revered in her ability to teach it, not only by Terang College staff and students, but by the wider local community. She always found extra time to privately tutor many students from our College and from neighbouring schools. She was also an outstanding mentor to many beginning teachers.

Being a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher came naturally to Merryl as did her interest and care for staff and students. Her warm, endearing smile and friendliness endeared her to all that knew her.  Merryl never had an agenda, other than doing her best for everyone.

Merryl will be remembered with much fondness and gratefulness that she was part of our lives at Terang College.

We extended our heartfelt condolences to all of Merryl’s loved ones. We invite our school community to leave messages remembering their time spent with Mrs Tanner.
