Year 9 Science & Engineering Challenge

On Monday 11th August, 21 Year 9 students attended the Science and Engineering Challenge Day at Deakin Uni Warrnambool. Our students were split into groups and competed against other local school in various activities, including Flight, Job Juggle, Fish Traps, ElectraCITY, Wind Turbines, Eco-Habitech, Bridge and Confounding Communications. All students participated well and did a wonderful job accumulating points for our school team. A special mention to Cedrick M, Tyler K & Jay G who won their activity ‘Flight’, Jack E, Darcy F & Cameron H who won their ‘Wind Turbines’ activity and Bella W & Georgia H who were runners up in their ‘Eco-Habitech’ activity.
All students got involved and represented Terang College well. We were very proud to see the Terang College team come third overall on the day. What a wonderful way to kick of National Science Week! Thanks to Mr Thomson, Mr Attrill and Nicole for supporting students throughout the day.
A big thankyou to Deakin Uni, Rotary Club of Warrnambool and all organisers and sponsors involved in the day.
