At Terang College, our innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) program empowers students from Years 7 & 8 to think critically, collaborate creatively, and solve real-world problems through hands-on learning. With a strong focus on sustainability, students explore environmental challenges and develop practical solutions using upcycling, recycling, and sustainable design principles. Whether it's repurposing bottle caps into functional products or designing with reclaimed materials, our students are encouraged to consider their ecological impact while building skills for the future. Our well-resourced STEAM space includes industry-grade 3D printers, laser cutters, and digital design tools, allowing students to bring their ideas to life with precision and innovation. Projects often combine creative arts with technology, giving students opportunities to prototype, test and refine their designs. The program nurtures a culture of curiosity and responsibility, helping students see how their learning can positively influence both their school and wider community.
